Getting started with Screenshot Suite
Install Screenshot Suite from the Chrome Web Store, open it from the Chrome toolbar and pick a capture mode. You can also press Alt+Shift+X to capture the visible area or Alt+Shift+S to select an area, or use the right-click menu. Captures stay on your device.

How do you install Screenshot Suite?
Open the Screenshot Suite listing on the Chrome Web Store and choose Add to Chrome. No account is needed. Chrome shows the permissions the extension asks for before you confirm, and the Privacy page explains why each one is needed.
Once installed, open the Extensions menu (the puzzle-piece icon) in the Chrome toolbar and pin Screenshot Suite so its icon stays one click away.
How do you take your first screenshot?
Click the Screenshot Suite icon to open the popup. It has two tabs, one for capture and one for recording. In the capture tab, choose a mode, for example Visible area, a full page or a selected region. The result opens in the editor, where you can annotate it before you save it. See the capture modes for what each one does.
Which keyboard shortcuts are available?
Two shortcuts are set by default:
- Alt+Shift+X captures the visible area of the current tab.
- Alt+Shift+S lets you select an area of the page.
You can change them on chrome://extensions/shortcuts. These are the only two global shortcuts.
Is there a right-click menu?
Yes. Right-click on a page and the Screenshot Suite menu offers the same two actions as the shortcuts: capture the visible area and select an area.
How do you record your screen?
Switch to the recording tab in the popup and choose to record the current tab or your screen or a window. The first time you record with the camera or microphone, Chrome asks for permission in a dedicated tab.
Where are your captures saved?
Downloaded files go to a Screenshot Suite folder inside Chrome’s Downloads folder. The popup settings let you choose the file format, whether the editor opens after a capture, and whether the image is copied to the clipboard automatically. Captures and recordings are processed in your browser; read the Privacy page for what is and is not stored. If something does not work, see the Contact page.
